WHO WE ARE

We are a local, farmer-led community of learning and practice united by a shared interest in soil health.

With a diversity of farming methods and perspectives, our community numbers about 100 people, around 50 of whom are actively engaged, including:

Orchardists

Backyard Gardeners

Market Gardeners

Livestock Graziers

Town Councillors

Cash Crop Farmers

Citizen Scientists

Community Members

We are ordinary farmers gathering regularly in our own kitchens and fields to figure out how to care for our neighbours, ourselves, and the land.

HOW - AND WHY - WE DO IT

We are guided by a thoughtful, unfolding practice that we think of as “tending the soil of community.”

We do this because we believe that, to become better farmers, we have to become a better farming community.
